Being a dancer myself, I have struggled to find a place to continue to train and perform as an adult. As a studio owner for over 20 years, I get so many inquiries from dancers over 18 including from our own alumni, that still want dance and perform but feel they have expired from class and recital with younger dancers. So we made a solution!  

The connections Company is a passion project for me. In my opinion, dance doesn’t have to stop at 18!  With the Connections Company, you can keep your connection to your love of dance no matter how old you are or what kind of shape you are in.

 

The Connections Company is a performance group dedicated to passionate, skilled adult dancers who are eager to challenge themselves, grow artistically, and perform in high-quality productions throughout the year. Open to dancers ages 18 and older, the company provides a professional, yet community-focused environment where dancers train and perform in a range of styles including contemporary, jazz, modern, ballet, musical theater, and more. The Connection Company provides an opportunity to stay connected to dance and performance, with your adult life and responsibilities kept  in mind. Our goal is to create a low stress class/ rehearsal environment where you can commit to as much or as little as you are able to. Connections Company members will create a rehearsal schedule that aims to coincide with every member’s individual schedule, in order to make classes and rehearsals more feasible.  All classes, training, and rehaersals will be volunteer and are unpaid. Any monies required by the company for costuming, venues, and performance extras, will be attained through fundraising, and sponsorships. We aim to offer paid performance bonuses for each dancer from ticket sales and donations.

The Connections Company follows a season from August through June, consisting of four major performance events and optional competitions or community showcases.
